ACCOMPLISHMENTS
    • Combined expert systems concepts with electronic publishing for use on the World Wide Web
    • Formed a spin-off company in electronic publishing rated as one of the "Top 100 Web Developers": in the country by a third party survey conducted by Lotus
    • Applied neural networks and genetic algorithms to operate intelligent controls for electric power utility plants to reduce NOX emissions
COMMERCIALIZATION
    • On the basis of their SBIR work, ERC generated $4.9M of post-Phase II revenue from commercial and government sources.  In addition, this effort resulted in ten new jobs
    • ERC has given the NASA SBIR Program major credit for ERC's growth, starting in 1988 with its first SBIR contract for $50K and two employees to today's employment of over a hundred employees and a yearly revenue of $14M
GOVERNMENT/SCIENCE APPLICATIONS
    • Development of a neural network-based automated data screening system for the Space Shuttle main engine
    • Development of an integrated knowledge system for wind tunnel testing at NASA Ames
    • Development of a neural network-based expert system for fault diagnosis for the Air Force Aeropropulsion Systems Test Facility
