ACCOMPLISHMENTS
- Developed portable
pose estimation system
- First fully autonomous
field-deployable vehicle positioning/control system which operates in real-time
- System combines electro-optical, optical, and electronic subsystems together
with controlling software
- Developed self-aligning spatial light modulator (SLM) for application in other
optical signal processing applications
|
COMMERCIALIZATION
- Plan to develop a novel autonomous
pose estimator (APE) and two spin-off products based on the criticalAPE subsystems
- Company and its commercial investors have provided over $500K in follow-on funding for the commercialization of this technology
|
GOVERNMENT/SCIENCE
APPLICATIONS
- NASA automatic docking for safe
maneuvering and landing
- Other applications include assist aircraft landing on aircraft carriers, ship docking, freeway pose estimation and vehicle path correction, and process and robotic alignment in manufacturing
